First Kaohsiung Int’l HALAL Expo shows off prowess
Southern Taiwan’s annual food festival “Kaohsiung Food Show,” “Kaohsiung HORECA” and the first ever “Kaohsiung HALAL” will arrive at the end of October! As the “Taiwan International HALAL Expo” has become domestic and foreign businesses’ pivotal event to showcase their HALAL products, Taiwan External Trade Development Council and local HALAL-certification organizations have teamed up once again to host Kaohsiung HALAL. Many HALAL-certified businesses are up and ready to partake in the show, such as “San Ying Foods Co., Ltd.,” “Taiwan Golden Buckwheat Co., Ltd.” and “Jheng Chun Co.,” are all ready to head southbound for prime opportunities.
Due to the endless uncovering of food safety issues, the Food Show this year has added a “Food Service”exhibit area where many inspection companies have joined to provide services for food companies and at the same time promote correct food safety concepts. “National Pavilion” exhibit area has brought forth all sorts of eye-catching and mouth-watering exotic selections and is definitely a must-visit place for distributors seeking new products.
This year, Japan Pavilion brings top-quality wagyu, Shizuoka Tea, traditionally-fermented soy sauce and miso, while at the Thailand Pavilion and Vietnam Pavilion, tropical juices are widely featured. At the Korean Pavilion, seaweed snacks are popular choices, while Latvia Pavilion boasts their self-brewed berry wine (don’t drink and drive and no under-age drinking.)
“World Siphonist Championship” will kick off on Oct. 28, and it is expected to boost sales for coffee, tea, alcohol and beverage exhibitors. Those who have certification for culinary or coffee industries are eligible for free admission, more information can be accessed on the Food Show’s official website.
