Seminars offer insights into smart electronics, innovative industrial IoT, the 5G era and other trends

Facing both challenges and opportunities, the electronics industry appears certain to find ways to integrate innovative technologies and new applications as it continues to develop in full swing in 2018.
While artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to play an even bigger role in the coming year, with new solutions being applied to make electronic devices even smarter, the introduction of the 5G mobile network, which offers faster data transfer and a greater wireless coverage area, is tipped to create more opportunities and revenue for operators.
To get a closer look at the features of the next generation of electronics, the organizers of TAITRONICS 2017 have arranged for a series of seminars during the first two days of the annual four-day event, which is to begin Oct. 11 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1.

Smart Ecosystems

With energy efficiency and connectivity playing an increasingly important role in smart life, industry insiders and experts from Taiwan, China, India, Japan and South Korea are offering their insights on the current status and trends of energy storage systems in their respective countries during the 12th Annual General Meeting of FAEMA (Room 404 on Oct. 11, 1:45 p.m.-5:45 pm). Speakers include CEEIA Secretary-General and Vice Chairman Guo Zhenyan, IEEMA Marketing and Trade Fair Director Ajay MahaJan, KOEMA Director Byungil Park and Hirotaka Tsunoda, assistant manager of the research and statistics section of JEMA’s Power and Industrial Systems Department.
The growing demand for sustainable development and means of solving urban issues i addressed at the AIoT Smart City Forum (Main Stage, Area K, 1st Floor on Oct. 11, 1:30 p.m-4:50 p.m.). Experts will share their insights on the latest smart city-related developments and trends.

IoT for Industry

A highlight of this year’s TAITRONICS is sure to be the Industrial IoT Forum (Room 402B and C on Oct. 12, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.). Speakers will include Richard Brown, the Open Connectivity Foundation’s marketing director for Asia, and Gary Stuebing, LoRa treasurer and IoT standards manager for Cisco CTAO, who will discuss the opportunities of industrial IoT as well as long-range and low-power wireless technologies for the commercial ecosystem.

Smart Devices and the Smart Era

Another focus will be the IoT Handheld Smart Device Seminar, (Room 401 on Oct. 12, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.), with experts speaking on both the development and innovative applications of these devices. Current and future trends as well as case studies will be presented by speakers from Acer Cloud Technology, Giant Power Biomedical Technology, Taiwan Main Orthopedic, NEXCOM International, Paking Technology, WeMo and Tricella.
As the 5G era is set to arrive in 2018 to meet the growing need for faster data transfer and greater wireless coverage in such markets as manufacturing, transportation and health care, DEKRA Testing & Certification Co. Lt. will hold the DEKRA LPWAN Technology Workshop (Room 505 on Oct. 12, 1 p.m.-4:25 p.m.). Industry insiders and experts are to share their insights on innovative IoT applications and market trends in the coming 5G era. They will also discuss LPWAN technology as well as the testing and certification process of LPWAN technology.

智慧生態系統

由於能源效率和連通性在智慧生活中扮演吃重的角色，來自臺灣、中國、印度、日本和韓國的相關產業精英及專家，將在第十二屆亞洲電機產業聯合年度會議，介紹其國家的能源儲存系統的現況和發展趨勢。演講來賓包括中國電器工業協會副會長兼秘書長郭振岩、印度電機電子工業同業公會市場及商展部門主管Ajay MahaJan、日本電子工業協會研統及電工系統部協理Hirotaka Tsunoda，以及韓國電子工業協會國際事務長Byungil Park。
今年國際智慧城市論壇則在10月11日下午1:30分至4:50分於1館K區主舞台舉行。

工業物聯網

工業物聯網研討會定於 10月12日上午8時至下午5時在402(B) (C)室進行，是今年展會的重頭戲之一。包括物聯網聯盟亞洲行銷團隊主席Richard Brown, LoRa協會的Gary Stuebing 將講解工業物聯網的巨大商機以及長距離低功能耗技術在物聯網的應用技術。

智慧裝置及智慧時代

智慧手持聯網服務鏈結研討會是今年TAITRONICS另一個亮點活動，定於10月12日上午9:30分至下午4時在401室舉行。來自宏碁雲端技術、昌泰科醫股份有限公司、台灣骨王生技股份有限公司、新漢股份有限公司、雲派科技、威摩科技，與三細胞有限公司的精英，將在研討會中介紹最新和未來的趨勢以及案例研究。
隨著5G時代預計於明年來臨，以滿足來自製造、運輸和醫療保健等市場日益增長的數據傳輸需求，德凱認證有限公司定於10月12日下午1時至4:25 分在505室舉行低功耗物聯網技術全解析講座。業內人士及專家將分享他們對5G新時代創新的物聯網應用和市場趨勢的見解，並將探討低功耗物聯網與智慧物聯網的應用以及驗證流程與相關法規。
