Heavily inspired and influenced by its namesake, British Celebrity Chef Jamie Oliver, the restaurant exudes a casual and contemporary ambiance where local foodies can enjoy mouthwatering dishes while in the presence of their family and friends.
To enhance the restaurant’s wide variety of culinary offerings, Jamie’s Italian has crafted sixty-percent new dishes inspired by Global and local Taiwan food trends, as well as developed to suit the tastes of the Taiwanese customers. Following Jamie Oliver’s two best-selling Superfood cook books, Jamie’s Italian is launching a series of super food salads that have proved popular among female customers and contain a variety of health benefits such as their Antioxidant Boost salad. This menu aims for a healthy diet to satisfy women’s needs while being able to enjoy food and drinks with friends without feeling too guilty!
As a brand that values family (Jamie has five children!), Jamie’s Italian also has launched a new family-friendly service, including a kid’s area a refreshed children’s menu. Furthermore, there will be a MiniCook @ Jamie’s cooking programme for all the young aspiring chefs to learn about food, develop their creativity and build their healthy eating habits. Atisha’s cooking style is defined by inspiring and preserving the original flavors of fresh ingredients as well as smoothly combining Western and Italian cultures. Atisha spent her earlier years traveling the world to learn and sample a diversity of local foods and cooking techniques. Her strong knowledge on Italian flavors and cuisine makes a stable platform for her to experiment with a creative combination of food across cultures. 60% brand-new dishes and 90% fresh local ingredients for a healthy cuisine
The brand-new menu with over 60% new items – each dish developed by our Chef to suit the taste of Taiwanese customer with 90% freshly sourced ingredients – will continue to delight customers with the same flavors of authentic Italian cuisine. The new menu also supports a sustainable philosophy. Take the Super Food Salad, Bonito Niçoise, as an example, to save the overfished tuna population, the dish replaces the tuna with the bonito, transforming it into an exclusive Taiwanese salad. Chef Marco said: “To strike a balance between health and flavor, during the cooking process, we try to preserve the original taste of the ingredient. Even the sauce is freshly cooked every day.”
Jamie’s Italian insists on the use of freshly prepared Italian pasta every day. Following the Italian recipe of Jamie’s mentor, the godfather of Gennaro Contaldo, the kitchen’s famous pasta extruder only uses the Italian “00” flour, Duran wheat and fresh organic eggs. Jamie’s Italian is determined to provide top high-quality meals that are freshly made on site.
A new gathering place for women after work, super food salads and antioxidant cocktails
Located in Xinyi District, a place for after-work hang outs and weekend gatherings, Jamie’s Italian’s new menu adds a series of super food salads that are filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, white meat and seafood, all loved by Jamie’s loyal female customer base. While enjoying their salads, Jamie’s customers can sip on a smoothie containing kale and coconut, known for its rehydrating benefits.
Customers are encouraged to try the exclusive “wine on tap” – keeping the wine fresh for even longer by reducing contact with air and customers can order either Jamie’s seasonal white or red. With a nod to the growing local craft brewing industry, Jamie’s has four locally crafted beers including Taihu’s Tipsy Strawberry Cider, Taihu’s Pale Ale to supplement Jamie’s existing two locally brewed beers. To supplement Jamie’s range of cocktails, customers who want to enjoy a good drink without the effects of alcohol, can select from the wide range of mocktails from the bar.
Delicious food and friendly environment create wonderful memory for the family
The nutritionally balanced children menu won the United Kingdom’s Soil Association Award three years in a row. The Secret Seven Gnocchi is a feast for taste buds which even children enjoy. All the sauces in the meals are hand-made, without artificial seasonings. The original flavors of the ingredients can thus be preserved. A new kids’ area in the restaurant has been launched so parents can enjoy the food while the children play around.
A MiniCook program is held for children every Wednesday starting mid-December, developing the creativity and a habit of healthy and balanced eating from a young age. It is the perfect bonding moment for parents and children.
