Smart Monitor & Control System
- Assisting the Fisheries Research Institute in solving fish diseases issues caused by environment and climate
- Solving soil quality and water salinity issues for about 1,000 hectares of fish and shrimp farms in Indonesia’s Sumatra Islands
Grouper, the most profitable fish species in Taiwan, is not only delicious in meat but also delicious in Q bombs. It is a well-known economic fish in Taiwan. It is loved by the Taiwanese and is world-famous. Taiwan ’s overall annual agricultural output value is about 6 billion Taiwan dollars. With an annual export grouper value of more than 8 billion, because of this, fishermen are also rushing to farm grouper, but they ignore the hot weather and germ problems in Taiwan, leading to grouper disease. In order to solve this problem, the Fisheries Research Institute started to establish the grouper model field technology in 2010. They start with breeding fish, and they need to find ways to breed disease-free breeding fish or resistant breeding fish. Aquaculture and fisheries are highly affected by the environment and climate. Some industry players are well aware of the industry characteristics. Smart technology was introduced to develop a smart aquaculture web service system to help farmers in monitoring the environmental changes in the breeding ponds in accurate, real-time, reducing potential losses through early warning. Otto Tsai, General Manager of Quadlink Technology pointed out that by introducing a smart monitoring system in the fish bream, the Aquadlink Smart Aquaculture Application System, is able to detect the values of dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH value and redox in the water. Monitoring is an important factor in optimizing the aquaculture process, assisting aquatic laboratories to accurately determine the environmental aquaculture issues, and to create the maximum output value. In addition, Quadlink Technology also organizes a demonstration for white shrimp epidemic prevention for aquatic trials to promote the technology of white shrimp breeding.
The Aquadlink Smart Aquaculture Application System reverses traditional aquaculture fisheries. Fishermen in fish farm no longer has the wind and the sun.
Technology has overturned the traditional aquaculture fisheries, artificial intelligence and fish breams are using IoT to connect these two unrelated terms. Quadlink Technology ‘s innovative model enhances traditional breeding, has opened up a wave of smart breeding in Taiwan breeding areas. Differ from traditional experience in judging water quality changes and manual feeding, causing useless treatment and waste of feed, the Aquadlink Smart Aquaculture Application System assists operators to obtain water temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH (PH) readings and other data in real time and automatically starts the water wheel, setting automatic feeding according to the dissolved oxygen in the water. Fishermen only need the mobile phone app to grasp the situation at any time, prevent and reduce losses in advance, and effectively reduce costs through technological farming, creating unlimited business opportunities.
Aquadlink Smart Aquaculture Application System monitoring of nearly 1,000 hectares of seawater farms in Sumatra, Indonesia
Quadlink Technology has deployed more than 400 smart farming systems from Hsinchu to Fang liao, Hualien to Taitung, and from the Mainland China to Southeast Asia. Indonesia and the Philippines have established smart farming systems to help fishermen to monitor risks, control variables and establish standard farming models to improve 30% yield. The intelligent equipment control system helps users reduce feed waste by 30%, conserve energy and electricity by up to 50%, and the Aquadlink Smart Aquaculture Application System allows fishermen to breed well and sell well.
General Manager Tsai said that in addition to assisting Taiwanese operators, the Smart Aquaculture Application System also helped the Indonesian farming industry. He stated that with the different water quality and soil, Quadlink Technology developed suitable installation conditions for local Chinese merchants when developing the Indonesian market. In 2018, the company assisted Indonesian Chinese businessmen to introduce dazzling business opportunities in nearly 1,000 hectares of farms in the Sumatra Islands, by developing and establishing fish and shrimp farms. This includes giving professional advice and introducing the testing of its company’s breeding detection system. He said that at the beginning of the implementation of this case, experts were arranged to observe and discuss with the locals, and to conduct monitoring systems and collect farming data on the ground, then finalized after several discussions. Tsai also pointed out that at the beginning of the construction of the entire breeding base of the environment, under the conditions of the water source that impacted the island, the local seawater was different from the general seawater in salinity. Therefore, it is necessary to arrange experts to provide professional opinions in arranging farmed species.
Seize international system integration (SI) export opportunities
Quadlink Technology was recognized by the “Taiwan Industry Innovation Platform Program” of the Industrial Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan. Recently, it was awarded the “Taiwan Most Potential Flagship Team Enterprise” in the “Asia Silicon Valley Development Agency, ASVDA”. International system integration (SI) exporting business opportunities, leading the domestic upstream and downstream industry chain manufacturers to team up to export overseas markets. Emerging export target markets such as Middle East countries, Malaysia, Philippines, etc., Quadlink Technology is actively conducting smart breeding promotion with Southeast Asian countries, hoping to find cooperative service providers in Southeast Asia and promote the equipment to the local area to provide the best after-sales service. At the same time, Taiwan’s Smart Aquaculture Application System will be promoted overseas.
