Neotroni has broken with tradition and introduced a new concept that really sets the tone for events to create memorable experiences. Hsinchu County Stadium — one of more than 300 sports arenas worldwide equipped with Neotroni’s products — has been outfitted with 160 sets of 500-watt LED lights from Neotroni’s ECO 1000 family combined with MEAN WELL Enterprises Co.’s HLG-320H LED drivers. In addition to providing the best possible illumination for the venue, the system also features intelligent light control. As well as making the system more energy-efficient, this enables interactive lighting that can dynamically respond and adapt to the action on the playing field to enhance the experience.
Chen said that the illumination of schools’ athletics fields is extremely important, not only because of the lighting requirements for sporting activities, but also because they are used by the general public.
This is especially important when hosting large-scale international events, he added.
To that end, Neotroni has facilitated the Urban-Rural Community Campus Transformation Plan under the Taiwanese central government’s Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program. This initiative has seen intelligent lighting control systems implemented to improve the lighting at schools of all levels in Taiwan.
For example, work was recently completed at Hualien County’s Meilun Junior High School. The renovated lighting system has allowed the sports field to become the only venue in eastern Taiwan certified to host international soccer competitions.
Other examples include dedicated high-ceiling lights installed at National Taiwan University’s basketball/volleyball court. The 1050-watt stadium lighting system exceeds the school’s illumination requirements by nearly 40 percent.
A newly completed lighting improvement project at National Cheng Kung University’s badminton hall employs professional low-glare lights, which can be adjusted in real time and greatly enhances users’ comfort. The system is easy to use, but lends itself to many professional applications and adheres to energy-saving principles.
Neotroni has also been working on an intelligent lighting project at Lover’s Bridge in New Taipei City’s Tamsui District. The system is to enable the creation of dynamic and entertaining light shows, which, combined with the area’s cultural and artistic attractions, is expected to help boost local tourism.
