Dr. Chen Chih-Ping is a highly renowned medical doctor in Taiwan, and he has been named the
World’s Top 2% Scientists in 2021 by Stanford University, USA.
It was not until he had turned 60 that Prof. Chen found his love for painting.
Chen Chih-Ping is a professor of medicine and a well-established obstetrician and gynecologist. He is an internationally acclaimed medical scientist and a prenatal cytogenetic diagnosis scholar. He has saved many fetuses from the fate of death because of significant discoveries of prenatal diagnosis of mosaic chromosomal abnormalities. He considers this as the best contribution to the field of prenatal care in Taiwan. Further, based on his achievements, Prof. Chen received the Taiwan Medical Dedication Award in 2019 as he demonstrated the spirit of humanitarianism.
Many have applauded the remarkable achievements of Prof. Chen and sent their congratulatory messages to Dr. Chen Chih-Ping, including Zheng Yong Feng, chairman of the Taipei Medical University Medical Association, and Wu Tiancheng, president of the Rotary Club of Tongde.
Chen Chih-Ping was born in 1953. He came from Xianyou, Fujian. His grandfather, Chen Kaiquan, was Liu Haisu’s favorite student. His father, Chen Zuru, was a calligrapher. Chen Chih-Ping wants to promote Chinese culture by paintings and calligraphy. Many of his creative works of modern art embodied ancient poems. It is a novel idea unprecedented by other artists.
Stanford University has recently released an update of the list that represents the top 2 percent of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines. Dr. Chen Chih-Ping of MacKay Memorial Hospital is on the list. There are 1244 Taiwanese scholars on the list of ” Career-Long Impact Ranking (1960-2020)” , and Taiwan ranks 19th in the world; 1,120 Taiwanese scholars are listed in the “2020 year impact Rankings”, and Taiwan ranks 20th in the world. Dr. Chen Chih-Ping’s medical ranking in Obstetrics and Reproductive Medicine is 281/66536, about 0.4% of the world.
